Jan Roger Sauge

Country: Norway
Kennel Name: Mabrinos

My name is Jan Roger and I live in Norway. I have been breeding Labradors since 1993 under the Mambrinos prefix. I have made up over 60 Labrador champions in all three colours.  In my kennel today, I have 20 dogs.In 2003 I became a judge.  I have been lucky to judge all over the world but the highlight for me was Potomac in 2008. America and England are special places for me; lots of quality dogs! I judged in Dallas once before and am very much looking  forward to this appointment!!

Kennel Name: Amberlyn

My passion for Labrador Retrievers began in 1989 when my husband, Paul,  insisted we get a dog a few months after we were married.  Reluctantly, I agreed and little did I know how that decision would forever change our lives!  For twenty plus years, my love of this magnificent breed allowed me to care for and show many unforgettable Labradors.  I was very fortunate to work with some of the top breeders in the country and meet many wonderful people along the way.  While I have stepped away from breeding and showing, there is still nothing more pleasing to my eye than looking at a beautiful Labrador and being able to see into his soul.  I would like to thank the Dallas Ft. Worth Labrador Retriever Club for this special invitation to judge your Sweepstakes.

Daniel Oliviera

Country: Brazil
Kennel Name: Canil Zuo

My story with dogs begins in my childhood. I was always in love with them. I began to live the world of dog shows in the 80’s with a Basset Hound. At that time I was only 15 years old.

My first Labrador came in 1995,  a chocolate bitch. Since then I have bred Labradors. With this foundation bitch I started by breeding her to the best dogs available in Brazil. In the year 2000 I began to breed my bitches with American dogs thus forming the basis of my actual breeding program.

I was founder and coordinator of the Brazilian Council of Labrador in Brazil. In 2011 I became judge of the FCI eighth group. I already judged the Labrador in Argentina, Mexico, USA and in my country.

In 2012 I judged the Sweepstakes of the Dallas Ft. Worth Labrador Retriever Club and I am very honored to be invited again by the club to judge the 2018 Specialty Show. It will be a pleasure to participate in this great event.

Tiina Rantenen

Country: Finland
Kennel Name: Stronglines

I have been breeding Labradors for over 30 years under the Stronglines prefix. I started with a Licithas Blizzard daughter  who is still behind all the dogs that I have today.

When I was young, I had the opportunity to meet the late Mrs Nancy Martin who basically introduced the American Labrador world to me while I  was living there.  I have lovely  memories of meeting all those wonderfull people and learing so much  from each one.  So  I am  more than  delighted  to get a chance to judge your Labrador specialty sweepstakes.

Up to date I have bred over 100 Show Champions in Finland in all 3 colours, about 20 international champions and over 40 tracking champions.  What  makes me very proud are the 4 dual champions (show & field trial)  and the 235 dogs that I have bred that have qualified  in the field even they are from show dog lines.

I had my first American sired litter in 1990 and a frozen litter in 1991.  Since then I have used a number of influential American stud dogs  with my lines with really nice results.

There are many  nice memories of winning Groups, getting some Winners titles and Specialty winnings but one of the highlights from  my breeding program most certainly was in 2013 when  Jean-Louis Blais gave my dear  Dual ch  Stronglines Piggywiggy, at the age of 13,  BOB in Specialty with an entry of 150 Labradors .

Looking forward to see all of you and meeting your wonderful Labradors .
