2026 DFWLRC All-Breed Health Clinic Overview
The Dallas–Fort Worth Labrador Retriever Club (DFWLRC) hosted its 2026 All-Breed Health Clinic on Saturday, June 27, 2026, providing breeders and dog owners with convenient access to a variety of important health screenings and diagnostic services.
The clinic was a tremendous success, with a strong turnout representing the continued commitment of our dog community to responsible breeding, preventive health care, and the long-term health and soundness of our dogs. Although hosted by DFWLRC, the clinic welcomed all breeds, allowing owners and breeders throughout the area to take advantage of multiple health services in one convenient location.
2026 Clinic — By the Numbers
During the clinic, veterinary professionals performed:

30 cardiac echocardiograms

17 cardiac auscultations

16 hip and elbow X-rays

12 thyroid blood draws

8 additional orthopedic X-rays of hips, elbows, or shoulders

5 patella examinations
Altogether, these numbers demonstrate the significant amount of health screening accomplished in a single day and the value that an organized health clinic can provide to the greater dog community.
For breeders, many of these screenings are important components of making thoughtful, health-conscious breeding decisions and documenting health clearances. For individual dog owners, health screening can also provide valuable information to discuss with their veterinarian and assist with proactive care throughout their dog's life.

An event of this size would not be possible without the many people who generously contributed their time and expertise. DFWLRC extends a sincere thank-you to every participant who brought their dogs to the clinic and to the club members and volunteers who worked throughout the event.
